Barcelona offers different accomodation options for the visitors: Hotels.
 From one to five stars. With the number of stars increases the quality of the offered service and of course the price too. Hotels with two and more stars are provided with private bathrooms. Most of them have reception and room serivce. The hotel offer, especially four or more star ones, is increasing day by day. The prices vary a lot depending on the hotel and the season of the year for which the accomodation is required. The price of a double room in a 3 star hotel, for example, goes from 80 to 150 eur per day/room (1 or 2 persons).
Private accomodation.
 Barcelona offers a great amount of apartments for short term rental, fully equipped, with kitchen and private bathroom. It’s usually a cheaper option to the hotels and more suitable for families with kids or groups of friends, and offer more privacy. However, most of them don’t offer the daily cleaning nor a 24h reception services. The offer varies from small studio apartments to big spacious apartments with many rooms and several bathrooms. Normally all of them are equipped with all the basic items you could need during your stay, like the microwave oven, iron, TV, fridge, washing machine, hair dryer etc. Moreover, some of them also include equippment like jacuzzi bath, pool (during warm months), satellite TV, DVD and all kinds of comodities. Aparthotels.It’s normally a small apartment with hotel services included. The Barcelona aparthotel service is quite limited. The offer includes a small kitchen, normally integrated in the living space. In this case the daily cleaning service is provided. The aparthotels can be compared to 3 or 4 star hotels.
Pensions.It a cheaper alternative to a hotel. However many pensions do offer a quality service to clients who require a hotel standard but simply prefer not paying the high hotel prices.
Youth hostels.It’s undoubtly the cheapest type of accomodation, equipped with many big-sized rooms where the clients share space, bathrooms and showers in the common areas. It’s mostly used by students visiting the city. The price goes from 15 eur per person and night. Most of the youth hostels also have a shared kitchen and eating space, cafeteria, internet points etc.
