Ciutadella Park The Ciutadella Park has been opened in 1888 in occasion of the World Expo, promoted by the city’s major at the time, Rius i Taulet. The park was built on the grounds of the old Ciutadella. It’s the biggest green space in the central part of Barcelona and is situated right next to the charming Born quarter. It’s a great option for a siesta, a relaxing walk or a picnic after a long day of sightseeing.

The park consists in green areas for walking or relaxing, a small lake, fountains and the city’s Zoo. On the inside you will also find many monuments and interesting places worth visiting. Among them we reccomend: - Catalunya Parliament - Geological Museum - Zoo - Zoological Museum - Modern Art Museum - the lake, with the possibility to rent a small boat
